Holidays in Morocco and budget

Good news, the budget to be planned with Morocco remains very affordable, one of the reasons undoubtedly of the tourist success of the country.

Many low-cost flights connect Morocco to France for example, just like an incalculable number of tourist stays are designed by tour operators, with hotels, excursions, visits, activities, etc. Even if many will simply take the option of simply walking around on their own, and according to their desires.

As for accommodation, the riad remains emblematic in Morocco: the right addresses offer an exceptional setting, accompanied by a service worthy of the great Moroccan hospitality. In the tourist towns of the country, the range of accommodation is wide, with classic establishments or large-scale hotel-clubs, all in decent price ranges but not that cheap.

The budget will turn to hostels or homestays because the low-end hotels throughout offer a very relative comfort … check it out before getting a room.

Close and yet always so exotic, Morocco can be considered as well for a good month of travel as for spending a few days of relaxation … On condition, in this case, to plan to come back!

Ideas for itineraries in Morocco

On the borders between the West and Africa, prisoner between the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, the Moroccan territory is full of wealth.

Historically, the country has lived to the rhythms of different dynacies which have followed one another, leaving behind architectural, cultural and symbolic vestiges. The times of colonization ended with obtaining independence, the opportunity for Morocco to assert itself as a constitutional monarchy.

Nowadays, Morocco exists thanks to a strong civilization, enriched by its past and which, because of this fact, attracts many tourists throughout the year. Morocco is also a warm atmosphere, a territory with warm colors, an open population, sharing its know-how and traditions.

Morocco by car

Visiting the south of Morocco by car will remain an unforgettable experience to do as a couple or with friends, but it seems important to say in the introduction that the idea of driving in Morocco frightens many travelers.

However, after a few hours at the wheel, you get used to driving very quickly.

The first step is to differentiate between city driving and driving on other roads in the country. In town, you have to admit that driving is a bit chaotic. By staying focused, we get by. In contrast, outside the cities, driving is very easy. There are a lot less cars on the roads and traffic in small Moroccan towns is much quieter …

Before that, it is important to remember that it is very important to go through local local rental companies rather than multinational companies such as Avis or RentACar. The service is often better, cheaper and more personal. Opt for a diesel vehicle, the price will be around thirty euros.

The trip between Marrakech and Ouarzazate is pleasant but on the other hand you will never exceed 50 KM / hour

Finally, do not take the GPS option when you rent a vehicle, buy a 3G Sim card for 10 euros and activate the GPS of your phone, with Google maps for example. Take advantage of your trip to the south to visit Skoura, in the cottage Kasbah la Palmeraie located on the edge of the palm grove often considered the most beautiful in Morocco.

Morocco in 4×4

And Morocco in 4×4, have you thought about it?

Get off the beaten track and opt for a safari-style discovery stay now offered by several local companies or websites. For an all-inclusive week departing from Paris / Lyon / Toulouse / Marseille… with the companies Easyjet / Ryanair / Transavia / Royal Air Maroc, in October for example, count 1025 euros per person.

Tours in southern Morocco will of course take you to Marrakech for a visit to the Bahia Palace and the Museum of Arts and Traditions but also to the Ouzoud Waterfalls where a hike to the bottom of the waterfall is planned, tastings tea with the locals, a night in a bivouac in the dunes of Merzouga, a Berber meal, the visit of Ouarzazate, the Oasis of Fint this green setting 10 KILOMETERS FROM Ouarzazate still preserved from mass tourism, an excursion into the High Atlas for a breathtaking landscape… Everything is there!

The 4x4s are equipped with air conditioning and have a driver and a guide and everything is included, meals and drinks, overnight stay in a minimum three-star hotel in a double room from the first to the last day, excursions, visits and transfers. A very good formula to see a maximum of them in a week of vacation.

Additional options are possible such as a dinner-show on the last evening in Marrakech, the day before departure.
